The burial was held at Wonthaggi Cemetery.

Omke Okke’s passing is big loss to us all. Although the distance to Fryslân was huge, his warmth, great sense of humor and caring personality were never far away. In this he was alike his brothers and my dad (Jitte). That’s why we cherish the memory of the long-distant phone calls we had and where he fluently switched from English to Dutch to Frisian. Take care in these difficult times. Love, Hans and Gerda.
