Loving husband of Bessie.  Loving father of Michael and Kerri.
Loving father-in-law of Stephen and Liz.
Much loved Pop of Martin (dec), Ashley; Matthew & Emma, Larissa and Nickolas.

Now you are peacefully sleeping, away from all your pain,
but the love in our hearts will always remain.
One of nature’s gentleman.
Will see you again Dad.
Loved and remembered always.

Funeral Prayers for Mr. Alfred Colin (Colin) Lamers will  be offered at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Korumburra Road, Wonthaggi
on TUESDAY (October 4, 2022) commencing at 2:00pm.
At the conclusion of Prayers the funeral will leave for the Wonthaggi Cemetery.

    RIP Col, I remember the good old days going to Durhams Groceries. He was always cheerrful ,and happy., and when that fire siren went, offf came the apron and up the back lane he went. Sympathy to the family. Jan Clarke (my parents had Hamiltons Butchers couple shops up from Durhams)

    Remembering a wonderful community champion, from grocer to firefighter Col had a smile and kind word for all and diligently served his customers and community with an amazing passion and commitment. He bled Wonthaggi and we are so much the lessor for his passing. Our thoughts are with Bessie, Michael and Kerri and families, may your memories lift and carry you.

    Such a respectful, caring and gentle man.
    After so many occasions catering at St Joseph’s Parish Hall, Colin would wait and escort us safely to our cars, no matter how late at night. In thanking him I said people will begin to talk. As quick as ever the reply came “Oh I hope so”! So many memories of one of Wonthaggi’s special people.Thank you Colin.

    Col (wiggy) was a great person and a selfless contributor to Wonthaggi in both business and community. You will be sadly missed by all of us that spent so much time together at the Wonthaggi Fire Brigade.
