Pieter was a great friend and golfing buddy. As a long standing member of the Commonwealth Golf Club, until his recent sea change, he was always competitive, positive and great company on and off the course. The Big Man’s generosity of spirit will be sadly missed.
My deepest sympathies to Madeline, Eloise and Andre.

Goodbye my friend! So sorry to see you go. We had good time & laughs many years ago house sharing with Soozi. And lots of lovely catch up’s over the years. Thanks for all the restaurants tips over the years! & recipes! You’ll be much missed! Most of all I’m sure by your family.

If there is link to the service I’d really appreciate it if it could be sent.

Pieter was a regular golfing companion at Commonwealth Golf before his sea change 4 years ago.
I helped Pieter get his Middleborough Rd unit ready to sell and we became close friends ever since. He was a big man but a softy underneath. I miss his friendship and our golf games.
I hope he finds peace and happiness in the after life
Cheers my friend from Jon Craig

Wow, it seems like only yesterday you were in Through Road, and the children where popping iwearing their school uniforms. Then off to China, to lecture, and when you came back I was honored to have been the best man at your wedding. From helping you move from Midleborough Road, to Camberwell and then onto Corinella (which felt like home as soon as you looked at it). Catching up regularily for chats on everything from World Politics, Solar Power to Electirc Vehicles and Computers,. I was a priviledge to have known you..

Pieter was a unique human being. He was Intelligent and knowledgeable on a whole range of subjects. He wasn’t backward in telling you if he thought something you did or had was a piece of rubbish! He loved food, loved life, and more than anything loved and was proud of his kids. I visited him a few weeks before his death and admire his stoic, no fuss approach to his situation. He just wanted to be there for Eloise’s wedding . Lots of good memories. I’ll miss you. Condolences to Eloise, Andre, Madeleine, Jesse, his brother, sister. and extended family.
