On behalf of my parents John Mathieson ( deceased 01/06/2020 ) and Christie Mathieson I know my Dad would be so sad that both Gary and Anne were taken too young.

My dad had known Gary since he was 16 , he took him to work and then they carpooled for many years.

They always caught up at Christmas time in recent years.

To his family so sorry for your loss

Hi Elaine, it’s Nikki (Gary’s daughter). Thanks so much for your message. Dad was only talking about John a few months ago when he was speaking to me about getting to work before he had a car.

Please accept our sincere sympathy on the loss of your Dad, Gary. He was a good friend, a gentleman and a good bowling pal. We also shared a love of the Melbourne Football Club and it is so sad Gary won’t be here for this years finals but he will be looking down on the mighty Demons with pride. Love from Neil and Rita xxx
