Dear Lou and you extended family..
Moments you had together for ever cherished…. Found this Irish Poem….

    “A Letter From Heaven”
    When tomorrow starts without me,
and I’m not here to see,
If the sun should rise and find your
eyes, filled with tears for me.

I wish so much you wouldn’t cry,
    the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
    we didn’t get to say.

I know how much you love me,
as much as I love you,
And each time you think of me,
I know you’ll miss me too.

    When tomorrow starts without me,
    don’t think we’re far apart,
for every time you think of me,
I’m right there in your heart…
    one more….

    Remembering Me
To the living, I am gone
To the sorrowful, I will never return
To the angry, I was cheated
But to the happy, I am at peace
And to the faithful, I have never left
I cannot speak, but I can listen
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard
So as you stand upon the shore
Gazing at the beautiful sea, remember me
As you look in awe at a mighty forest
And in its grand majesty, remember me
    Remember me in your hearts,
In your thoughts, and the memories of the
Times we loved, the times we cried,
the battle we fought and the times we laughed
For if you always think of me,
    I will never have gone.

Dear Lou and all of Gerard’s family.

It was a pleasure to have worked on and off with Gerard from my very first month on road at Northcote to random shifts in his last few years at Eltham. He was always fun and sometimes hilariously inappropriate on shift, making the day speed on by. He spoke of you often on shift Lou, I felt like I knew a small part of you despite never actually meeting you in person.

My deepest condolences to you all on Gerard’s tragic and untimely passing.

    Warmest regards
    Cheryl Jessop

Such a tragic loss. Very happy memories of working with you at Northcote branch during the late 80’s, always an entertaining shift. I’m sorry we never got around to chasing those whiting off Coronet Bay as we planned. RIP Gerard
