The Funeral Service for Elizabeth ‘Mary’ McCormack
was held at St John’s Uniting Church, Chapel Street, Cowes
on WEDNESDAY (November, 27 2024) commencing 11am.
At the conclusion of the service the funeral will leave for the Phillip Island Cemetery.

November 27, 2024 at 12:02 pmWe are saddened by Aunty Mary’s passing. She was a beautiful person, and we loved her and being in her company. She was very good to us. Some of Paul’s earliest memories were of Mary. The two of them would chat as if no time had ever passed between them. She was one of very few people that Paul would gladly speak to on the phone. He respected Mary and enjoyed her company. We both have very fond memories of her.
I first met her when she came to visit before our Australian “wedding”. She really saved the day and her help was invaluable. She kindly returned to WA caring for Flora and allowing us to have our only holiday together while Flora was with us. After meeting Mary, she stayed in touch with me, and we spoke frequently. She genuinely cared about Paul and me. I don’t know how I would have managed without Mary shoring me up for the first six years I was here. moving from halfway around the world I was very lonely and isolated. It seemed that when I was struggling the most Mary would call.
We are sure you and Flora will be giving each other heck already. We love you Mary.
