Very sad news to hear Mick had passed away. I remember his trips to Millstreet in the 80’s and on one occasion when the late Neily Duggan, Mick and myself went to the bog and then to Brendan Moynihan’s pub for pints after. He was a pure gent with great character. Deepest sympathy to Mick’s wife and family, his sisters and brother Jerry. Rest in Peace Mick. Tom Cooper Claraghatlea and London

    Michael Kelleher

For everyone there is a last night and day
We are born to die life works on this way
In Claraghatlea near Millstreet Town where his life journey for him began
Michael Kelleher he did not live out his life span

In Gippsland in Victoria far from his first home countryside
The likeable fellow Michael Kelleher died
In his mid seventies he breathed his last
The silence of death often comes to one fast

He married Rosemary Cronan a beautiful Australian going back five decades or so
In human years this seems a long time ago
Since the day of their wedding many years in time have gone
In the the thoughts of all who did know and love him Michael will live on

Michael Kelleher in his lifetime made many a friend
But sadly for all of us there is an end
He was one who had to sweat for his every pay
A pipe layer he earned his living in the hardest way

Since peace to our minds it does finally bring
Death in itself is not such a bad thing
And though the last breath of life from his body has gone
In the thoughts of all who did know and love him Michael will live on.
