It is with sadness to hear of Fred‘s passing. We got to know Fred when he came to Fairview, Alberta to teach in the school system, and we became friends over the years. When Fred and Barb settled in Australia, on many of their the trips back to Alberta, they would stop to visit. We have many fond memories. Hugs and deepest condolences to Barb and family. Sincerely, Harvey and Vickie McKeahnie, Grande Prairie, Alberta (formerly Fairview).

We were deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Heesh passing. l always insisted on calling him Mr. Heesh out of respect and he always insisted on me calling him Fred, It became a joke between us. I remember how wonderful he related to the students at Wonthaggi North Primary, playing his guitar and the students singing along. I never heard him say a bad word about anyone. He loved the tuba and talked to Brad my grandson about what a wonderful instrument it was, which Brad ended up playing. I will always remember his smile; it never seemed to leave his face. Well done, Fred/Mr. Heesh you have left not only the Peters family with many wonderful memories but also touched many others.
Condolences to the family. He has left his mark on many. You can be so proud of him.
    God Bless

Dear Barb, I am sending much love and strength to you all. I watched the service online and you all spoke so wonderfully of Fred. I enjoyed learning a bit more about how you met. To me, Fred was first my teacher and then my friend in the band. He was always kind, and he was certainly funny. I remember his smile , and his dad jokes were legendary. He will be missed. Hugs for you all. xxx
